Atlantic.Net Deploys Mellanox Technologies Cloud Hosting Platform

Mellanox Technologies has been selected by Atlantic.Net as a supplier for its cloud hosting platform.

The provider of end-to-end interconnect solutions will deploy its service which will include a scalable, secure and robust platform consisting of 40Gb/s InfiniBand.

Adnan Raja, Director of Business Development at Atlantic.Net, said: "Mellanox's InfiniBand server and storage interconnect solution is a great compliment to our industrial-grade cloud infrastructure to provide the fastest and most robust cloud on the market."

"Using QDR InfiniBand, we are able to perform server provisioning in just seconds and provide extremely fast disk performance at 40Gb/s."

Atlantic.Net also reported that the use of Mellanox Technologies' solution has reduced its cloud infrastructure costs, thus enabling them to offer a better service to its customers.

Gilad Shainer, Vice President of Market Development at Mellanox Technologies, highlighted the business' offerings, explaining: "Mellanox's InfiniBand solutions lead the industry with performance, enterprise-class reliability and high availability, improving cloud infrastructure return-on-investment, while helping providers to reduce their capital and operational expenses."

In order to demonstrate the speed of its server, Atlatic.Net will be offering offering a free trial of its public cloud platform.
