SSAE 16 Type II certified web host ‘Canadian Web Hosting’ is offering Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) addresses for SSD cloud servers and Canadian cloud servers through its ‘Canadian Cloud Hosting’ arm. The company, which was established in 1998, offers “on-demand hosting solutions” such as shared, cloud and dedicated server hosting alongside SSD servers and IT-as-a-Service (ITaaS) options. It predominantly caters to Canadian companies of a range of sizes. Canadian Web Hosting’s latest move means its customers can now utilize enhanced IPs to “future proof their cloud infrastructure”.

Canadian Cloud Hosting’s IPv6 addresses will be located at their data centers located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and their two data centers in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. IPv6 is the latest Internet Protocol (IP) available and was developed to address the issue of IPv4 address depletion. It uses a 128-bit address and simplifies the use of multicast addressing. Canadian Cloud customers using IPv6 will benefit from “access to hierarchical address allocation methods” and ”route aggregation across the Internet”.

Canadian Cloud Hosting’s services are available free of charge for 30 days on a trial basis. The company prides itself on delivering “enterprise-grade cloud services” that allows users to “deploy VMs instantly”. Users can also easily add resources such as RAM, CPU, storage and applications and services through a “user-friendly control panel”.

Do you know of any other companies offering IPv6 addresses? Let us know the details. Add your comments below.
