Cloud Contact Center Software Company Five9 Wins 2013 Cloud Computing Excellence Award

Cloud contact center software company Five9 has won Cloud Computing Magazine's 2013 Cloud Computing Excellence Award for its Five9 SoCoCare social and mobile customer care solution.

Established in 2001, Five9 SoCoCare helps companies manage thousands of real-time social conversations and enables them to address customer service support requests on social media in a similar fashion to incoming phone calls. The solution uses natural language processing capabilities and "advanced business" rules to bring together content from blogs, articles and social networks as "social feeds" that allow users to send messages to authors and reply to posts through a single platform.

The Cloud Computing Excellence Award is part of the Cloud Awards program founded in 2011 by a group of technical engineers, business leaders and marketers. The aim of the award is to celebrate "the brightest and the best in Cloud Computing". It recognizes innovative cloud companies that reduce customer operating costs and improve customer satisfaction.

“We are thrilled to be honored for our achievements in cloud innovation, as well as social and mobile product excellence," explained Five9's senior vice president of social and mobile, Lance Fried. "With the Five9 strategic acquisition of SoCoCare, two best-in-class cloud-based solutions have come together to deliver the next generation of cloud contact center software.”
