Cloud Enterprise Storage Provider Avere Systems Enjoys Substantial Growth in 2013
 Cloud enterprise storage provider Avere Systems enjoyed substantial growth in 2013, the company reported recently. It experienced ‘triple-digit’ growth in key areas including customer bookings and customer acquisition. The second half of 2013 saw Avere achieve 100% growth on the same time the previous year, while fourth quarter results showed growth of 150%. The company’s customers during the period included three of the nine largest technology companies, 50% of supermajor oil and gas companies, the Library of Congress website and South America’s largest web hosting provider.
According to Avere its growth is a response to the need of enterprises to adopt cloud solutions to keep abreast of data storage costs and increasing requirements. The company’s storage solutions advancements “removed the barriers” that stopped organizations storing data both in the cloud and in on-premises data centers.
The company also suggested additions to its executive team helped the company achieve 2013 targets. These included Michael McMahon’s appointment as vice president of sales and business development, and the appointment of Dave Stephenson, a former HP Executive who was brought in as vice president of engineering.
