Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure Provider Datapipe Highlighted in China Enterprise Cloud Report
A report detailing the Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) market in China and India has recognized cloud hosting and infrastructure provider Datapipe as being one company that is able to cater to the demands of enterprises in Asia. The report adds that providers able to meet the regional demands of the Chinese and Indian markets could potentially enjoy considerable success in what is a fast growing marketplace.
The report entitled “Competitive Landscape: Enterprise Cloud IaaS Services in China and India” was compiled by Gartner and considers the approaches of a range of key cloud infrastructure companies as they make inroads into the Chinese and Indian markets. The report suggests the Cloud IaaS market is likely to grow by 31.8% between 2011 and 2016 and recommends companies involved in these markets to coordinate infrastructure, sales and support on a local basis.
The report goes on to describe Datapipe’s ability to provide cloud services in China as “fairly unique”. The company operates cloud data centers in both Shanghai and Hong Kong, both of which are connected to data centers in Europe and the US through private connections. The report also highlights Datapipe’s ability to manage a range of environments through a single customer portal providing “all critical information from a central location”.
