Consumer Multimedia Software Company CyberLink Announces Cloud-based Solutions

Consumer multimedia software company CyberLink has announced a range of cloud-based solutions. The company has added CyberLink Cloud to its suite of services. CyberLink Cloud offers tools that “enrich the multimedia experience for media creation and playback” and back up and share creative projects. In addition, the company is offering Director Suite Live, a full cloud-based suite of video and photo editing tools. The solutions are being offered on a subscription basis with the promise of ongoing updates.

Established in 1996, CyberLink owns over 100 patented technologies. With 700 employees around the world, the company’s partners include top PC brands and the company has a presence in North America, Japan, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

“We are witnessing a complete transformation in digital media creation,” explained CyberLink CEO Alice H. Chang. “Today, consumers generate a tremendous amount of media content, whether for personal use or to kickstart a professional career. As a result, media creators require a flexible way to access, manage and share their digital media - we’ve provided them with an easy-to-use and cost effective way to do so with CyberLink Cloud and Director Suite Live. This new solution combines our most complete suite of video and photo editing applications, to which we added the flexibility of subscription and convenience of cloud technology, for easy backup, access and sharing – all offered at a consumer-friendly price point.”

CyberLink Cloud, Director Suite Live and PowerDVD Live are fully integrated. Director Suite Live offers PowerDirector, PhotoDirector, AudioDirector and ColorDirector, all available for a monthly rate of around $8.50 which also includes 10GB of cloud storage where subscribers can backup creative projects. Flexible annual and quarterly subscription plans are available at $49.99 for 3 months and $99.99 for 12 months.
