Green data center and sustainable web hosting provider TurnKey Internet, Inc. (TurnKey) has launched a new cloud backup option. The company, which was established in 1999, runs an SSAE 16 Type 2 and ENERGY STAR certified data center in Latham, New York, USA. It offers a wide range of services including cloud-based hosting, web hosting, communication services, web-based IT systems, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and collocation. The company caters to customers in around 150 countries and its new “TurnKey Vault Secure Cloud Backup” service delivers “next-generation online backup services focused on Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) to individuals, businesses and large scale organizations across the globe”.

TurnKey Vault combines Virtual Disaster Recovery with live cloud replication to offer a genuine business continuity solution. It offers instant data recovery and can restore “any server, PC, or laptop into a cloud-based virtual private server that is accessible via the Internet”. It extends to recovery for bare metal, Linux, Windows and Mac operating system-based devices and supports encrypted data protection and backups for enterprise databases including Oracle, MSSQL and MySQL. Entire operating systems and all files are restored, as are configuration and registry files, and software programs and licenses. A free 10 GB plan is available through TurnKey Vault which offers all enterprise features. In addition, resellers and channel partners are able to reach an “unlimited number of clients or devices” offering a white label version of the solution.

”Data loss is a reality – you are more likely to lose your business data in the next 7 years than get audited by the IRS,” explained TurnKey Internet’s CEO, Adam Wills. “The reality of the current generation backup solutions out there is that it’s not enough to just backup your data and hope to put the pieces back together after disaster strikes- that can lead to countless days or weeks of lost business productivity and expensive IT support staff time. With our TurnKey Vault technology combined with our cloud-based datacenter services, we can literally restore an entire office building of lost servers and PCs back into fully accessible and functional copies so your business can get back up and running fast.”
