Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office 365 company Mimecast has launched archiving, continuity and security services based in the cloud. The services are intended for companies that are migrating to Microsoft Office 365 and specifically designed to enhance 365’s core capabilities.

United Kingdom-based Mimecast’s services offer full control of a customer’s email and unify “disparate and fragmented email environments” into a single fully available cloud solution. Established in 2003, the company caters to around 7,000 customers and 1.8 million users globally. The company has offices in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Channel Islands, United Kingdom.

Mimecast’s Office 365 services offer end-users secure email and file access via a range of devices including smartphones, tablets and PCs. The company facilitates safe and convenient migration from in-house Microsoft Exchange to Office 365. Its services can be provided combining on-premise and cloud environments into hybrid options offering a range of capabilities such as the company’s “Large File Send” option, which allows users to send and receive files of up to 2GB via Outlook.

“Office 365 is proving to be a popular consideration for many enterprises looking to reduce complexity and cost by using the cloud,” explained Mimecast’s Product Director’ Grant Hodgkinson. “If you want to use the cloud for productivity, messaging and collaboration, Office 365 is good, but with the addition of these Mimecast services, it is now great.”
