Network Communications and Managed Services Provider Windstream Launches Endpoint Security Protection by Dedicated Security Technology Company McAfee
Little Rock, Arkansas-based network communications and managed services provider Windstream has launched Endpoint Security Protection by dedicated security technology company McAfee. The security solution is now available both through packages made available to Windstream's small business customers, and as an independent product available to its small- to medium-sized business customers.
Endpoint Security Protection protects against viruses, spyware, spam, phishing attempts, hacker attacks, and threats, including those carried by email in the cloud. The system's multilayer approach avoids the need to implement a range of solutions to counter a variety of threats. It is deployed via a cloud-based management portal and can allow users to block websites and emails that they deem could provide potential threats. To ensure the most current threats are covered, the system updates and upgrades automatically.
Endpoint Security Protection will be offered as part of Windstream's suite of solutions which include VoIP, SIP trunking, MPLS, dedicated high-speed Internet, and a variety of managed services, cloud computing, disaster recovery, and networking services.
