Public Cloud IaaS Provider CloudSigma Recognized by 2013-14 Cloud Awards Program

Public cloud IaaS provider CloudSigma has been recognized by the 2013-14 Cloud Awards Program - the third year in a row that the company has been acknowledged by the awards. The company, which is based in Glattbrugg, Switzerland, is a finalist in the “Best Hybrid Cloud Solution” category. Winners will be announced on January 28, 2014

CloudSigma’s highly flexible and scalable hybrid cloud servers and cloud hosting solutions are available in the United States and Europe. The company prides itself on offering a highly customizable cloud product which offers customers “full control over their cloud” without restricting how they manage their resources – whether it is for storage, networks or processing.

CloudSigma offers an open platform without deployment restrictions. It also provides security levels that protect customers’ data from a range of threats. It further safeguards sensitive data because it does not have to be transmitted over public IP connections. The company’s customers can add their own private networks to CloudSigma’s infrastructure to create hybrid cloud options that are “enabled by transparent private patching technology”.

The Cloud Awards have recognized key global cloud industry players since 2011. They are open to companies of a range of sizes, from startups upwards, with the aim of recognizing “pioneers” who shape the industry’s future.
