The first Rackspace::Solve summit takes place on July 28, 2014 in San Francisco. A one-day event held at the St. Regis Hotel, the summit will provide an opportunity for "customers, prospects, investors and media" to meet and discuss a range of issues relevant to the industry. The event starts at 9:00 am and finishes at 4:30 pm.

With headquarters in San Antonio, USA, Rackspace is known as the "open cloud company" and caters to a global base of around 200,000 business customers. The company is renowned for offering services underpinned by technical expertise and world class support. It is a recognized leader in managed and hybrid solutions. The company founded OpenStack - the "open-source operating system for the cloud".

Rackspace's summit will consider the IT challenges companies face when addressing key industry areas such as big data, e-commerce, and the "Internet of Things". Alongside John Engates and Robert Scoble, both Rackspace CTOs, a range of businesses will speak at the event. These include key industry players like New Relic, CoreOS and Docker.

As well as getting the opportunity to mingle with executives from these companies, a number of Rackspace personnel will be on hand to give attendees information regarding the shape of the Managed Cloud industry in coming years. A social event will be held at Rackspace's San Francisco office at 6:30 pm after the summit.
