Report Suggests 90% of Indian SMEs Feel the Cloud is Key to Their Success
A recent report has suggested that 90% of Indian SMEs feel adopting the cloud will be key to their future success. The report, conducted by Circle Research Global Report and sponsored by SAP SE, suggests Indian SMEs feel the cloud will enhance their ability to innovate, and help them operate their businesses more quickly and more effectively.
The Indian cloud market is expected to reach a value of $88 billion by 2017. SAP's survey took in results from 1,000 people, 800 of which were "senior decision makers". The results of the survey suggested that 87% of Indian SMEs feel that mobile solutions, analytics and business apps could be key to them meeting their business goals. Those interviewed expressed a range of business expectations for their companies. 44% of those interviewed focused on customer success, with 34% suggesting there primary focus was growth. 76% of aiming for growth placed the greatest importance on introducing new products.
"SMEs have greater opportunities than before to expand and diversify. They utilize technology to support business growth and achieve operational excellence," explained Adaire Fox-Martin, SAP's President for Asia-Pacific Japan.
