Virtual Datacenters Provider Bluelock Extends Recovery-as-a-Service Suite

Virtual datacenters provider Bluelock has extended its Recovery-as-a-Service (RaaS) suite. Established in 2013, the company, which specializes in providing “flexible IT infrastructure solutions” through data centers hosted in the public cloud, is a certified VMware vCloud datacenter provider. Its scalable solutions allow users to avoid the costs inherent in traditional hosting and disaster recovery solutions.

Bluelock RaaS offers customers an interface that manages “multiple tiers of application recovery”. Features of the solution include automated setup and true “pay-as-you-go” payment. Stored data is encrypted and recovery is significantly faster than traditional solutions. Charged at only $0.30 per gigabyte per month, the solution also allows users to save on storage costs.

Bluelock’s expanded services now encompass “4048 Virtual Datacenter”, a cost-effective cloud-based backup repository that allows users to recover “lower tier workloads”. Bluelock 4048 Virtual Datacenter (VDC) provides encrypted offsite backup storage that does not require additional site management and can be scaled to meet recovery needs as required. The repository is “located adjacent to hot compute”, making recovery time faster and lowering risk and costs.

“The 4048 VDC adds no complexity to your existing daily backup solution,” suggested Bluelock’s Product Solutions Director, Ben Miller. “Simply point your backup replication software to the Bluelock Virtual Datacenter. With direct connection to a proven cloud infrastructure platform, customers have access to a second datacenter in which to run applications as long as needed, until their own datacenter is back in working order.”
