Web Host Canadian Web Hosting Completes CloudStream Backbone Network

Web host Canadian Web Hosting has announced the completion of its CloudStream Backbone Network. The company, which was established in 1998, has headquarters in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada and a number of SSAE 16 Type II SOC 2 certified data centers across the country. The company caters to companies of a range of sizes with services that extend to shared, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and cloud hosting options alongside dedicated servers, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), each underpinned by a 100% network uptime guarantee. The CloudStream Backbone Network represents the company’s core networking infrastructure.

Canadian Web Hosting is the only Canadian provider that “owns and runs its own network”. With multiple backbone connections between Vancouver, British Columbia and Toronto, Ontario, the new network offers its web hosting and cloud hosting customers a “highly redundant dedicated network backbone across Canada”. The benefit to customers is that the network provides “reduced latencies throughout Canada” and stops customers’ data from “moving onto the public internet”.

"As a leading service provider in infrastructure and cloud hosting services, we understand many of our new and existing customers' pain points," explained Canadian Web Hosting’s Chief Strategy Officer, Matt McKinney. "Our multi-million dollar investments into our network were built so our customers no longer have to settle for legacy networks designed in the late 90s, second-tier bandwidth, or connections owned by American companies that continue to flow through cities like Chicago or Seattle and being routed back into Canada. With so many emerging technologies coming to the forefront that require low latency and high capacity network links, we believe that our customers are well positioned for the next phase of application and IoT hosting and will be able to meet the most demanding requirements."
