Cloud Hosting Company iomart Picks Up Outstanding Performance in Business Growth Award

Cloud hosting company iomart Group has been awarded the accolade of Outstanding Performance in Business Growth at the Digital Technology Awards. The award comes following a 33% rise in revenue published in their last annual results.

Financial performance, profitability and ability to deliver on its business strategy, were reportedly among the reason why the judges tipped the UK hosting company for the decoration.

The group which was described as “one of the leading cloud computing and managed hosting companies in the UK,” saw their revenue grow to £33.5m this year, and according to CEO Angus MacSween their market expansion is still on-going.

He said; “We are delighted to have won this award. Our strategy has been to position the iomart Group and its range of hosting brands to capitalise on the continuing growth in the market for cloud services.

“This market is still large, fragmented and growing and we see real opportunities to benefit from this over the next few years.”

The latest award ads another trophy to a shelf that already supports Scottish PLC of the Year, along with Talkin’Cloud naming the company as one of the top 20 cloud hosting companies in the world.

Polly Purvis, Executive Director of awards organisers ScotlandIS, spoke of the industry and its influence on the Scottish economy.

“The technology sector, worth £4bn to the Scottish economy, is a key driver for growth and a jewel in Scotland’s economic crown,” she said.

“It’s an exciting and vibrant industry employing a very wide range of talented people and we are delighted to recognise the achievements of the industry’s leading lights.”
