Cloud Company FireHost Receives $25 million Investment

Cloud company FireHost has received a $25 million investment in the form of “Series E” funding. The funding was managed by the company’s investment partner, The Stephens Group and will be used to “further the company’s product development, sales, and brand awareness”. In addition, the investment will allow the company to finance secure cloud computing and provide the “separation in the technology required to protect customers from increasingly complex security threats”.

FireHost has headquarters in Slough, Berkshire, United Kingdom. The company prides itself on providing a secure cloud environment. Last year the company successfully obstructed over 100 million attempts to hack its services. Its secure servers were built specifically to protect data housed within “large-scale infrastructure deployments”, and its services cater for hybrid, private and public clouds. They also allow customers to address compliance issues.

“FireHost is solving some of the most important technology challenges that the technology industry faces – security, performance and compliance in the cloud,” FireHost CEO Jim Lewandowski told Reuters. “This funding round allows us to invest further in the technology required to provide our customers the type of secure cloud computing they have come to expect from FireHost.”
