Cloud Services Provider SherWeb Launches Products that Simplify HIPAA Compliance
 Cloud services provider SherWeb has launched a new email product suite that simplifies Health Insurance and Portability Act (HIPAA) compliance - a US standard that applies to organizations holding private medical data. All companies managing electronic medical data must comply with the standard's privacy practices when transmitting such digital data.
SherWeb, a Microsoft "Top Hosting Partner", is offering three products that provide encryption and archiving to safeguard electronic data and help companies meet HIPAA compliance requirements. The company is offering three separate products which are being sold as discreet items. These are "Organization Data Leak Prevention", "End-to-End Encryption" and "Compliant Archiving”. Each integrates with Outlook as a plug-in.
"Businesses in the health, insurance or finance sectors are required by law to adequately protect data," explains SherWeb's Product Manager for Hosted Exchange, Rima Hatoum. "But many other industries now also need tailored encryption and archiving solutions when it comes to electronic data. Our new products allow organizations of any size or in any field of activity to address all their security and control needs."
