Cloud Workload Assessment Company Cloudyn Receives $4 Million in Funding

Israel-based cloud workload assessment company Cloudyn has received $4 million in funding. The company, which specializes in optimizing customer cloud deployments, received the funding from Titanium Investments and RDSeed. The total investment the company has received to date is $5.5 million.

Cloudyn provides monitoring services for public, private and hybrid cloud deployments on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google and Rackspace OpenStack-based clouds. The purpose of its solutions is to establish which clouds might prove the most effective for its customers. At present, Cloudyn does not provide services for Microsoft Azure, but this is set to change in the near future (before the end of 2014).

The company caters to a broad base of 2,400 customers, ranging in size, and going up to Fortune 500 companies. The companies offerings include 'Lite', which is a free-of-charge service with limited functionality, to 'Premium' and 'Enterprise/MSP'. Premium costs $229 per month for the company's options and a 60-day money back guarantee underpins the service. while Enterprise/MSP is costed on a case-by-case basis. No annual commitment is required.
