IaaS Platform Provider OnApp Offers New VMware vCloud Director Portal Promotion

Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform provider OnApp is offering a promotion on its new VMware vCloud Director portal. The London, UK-based company, whose software allows organizations like web hosts and telecommunications companies to sell a range of IaaS products (including bare-bones virtual servers and automated cloud and dedicated servers), manages OnApp Federation - a network of cloud providers in 43 countries. Its new web and mobile portal for VMware vCloud Director will be available free of charge for a six-month period until August 1, 2015. The promotion includes free “deployment, configuration and 24x7 support”.

OnApp for vCloud Director provides a “rebrandable cloud management and provisioning environment for the global community of service providers” that manage clouds using the solution. OnApp announced the promotion at the VMware Partner Exchange 2015 event which is currently taking place in San Francisco (February 3-5, 2015). Once OnApp’s current promotion ends, it will be followed by a period of “competitive pricing”.

“We’re thrilled for VMWare service providers to have access to all the benefits of OnApp in order to help better manage and provision their vCloud Director environment,” explained OnApp USA’s President, Narendar Shankar. “More than 3,000 providers in 90 countries run their clouds on OnApp software, and an estimated one in three public clouds are now powered by OnApp. Our free six month promotion makes it easy for the global vCloud Director customer base to realize the benefits of intuitive web and mobile cloud management, too, and with free deployment and support it is super-easy to get started.”

The company is located in booth 228 at the VMware Partner Exchange 2015 event and is available to offer live demonstrations and an “in-depth OnApp breakout session”.
