IT Services Provider Getronics Group Buys Cloud Company Colt’s Managed Cloud Activity
IT services provider Getronics Group (Getronics) has bought cloud company Colt’s managed cloud activity. Owned by Aurelius, the Getronics Group has headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The company provides "integrated ICT services" which include workspace, applications, communication, data center, managed services and cloud offerings. It has a presence 18 countries where its employs around 6,000 people.
Colt’s managed cloud services will be absorbed by Getronics’ and include the company’s UK, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, India, Romania and Switzerland-based products and services. The company has 600 managed cloud customers in a number of areas, including financial services. Financial aspects of the acquisition have not been released and completion is dependent on “regulatory and competition clearances”.
“Today’s announcement demonstrates our commitment to offering the latest, best of breed IT services to our customers,” explained Mark Cook, the CEO of Getronics. “We are looking forward to welcoming the transferring customers and employees into the Getronics family in the New Year,” he explained further.
