Public Cloud IaaS Provider CloudSigma Joins the Equinix Cloud Exchange

Public cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider CloudSigma has joined the Equinix Cloud Exchange. The move gives business customers and service providers involved in the network access to CloudSigma's offerings.

The Equinix Cloud Exchange gives users access to a range of global cloud providers in a variety of networks. The service gives businesses access to the scalable cloud services required to establish hybrid cloud solutions. The flexibility of the service and its multivendor approach frees businesses of concerns related to vendor lock-in and issues related to security.

Cloud Exchange network service providers include companies like Level 3 and Ciena and is available in markets that include Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Japan, the USA, the UK, and elsewhere in Europe. By the close of 2014 it will have reached 19 markets. Cloud Exchange enables CloudSigma to standardize its global operations and reduce costs. The service's automated ordering and provisioning make it easier to access customer network connections. The company's first connection point is Equinix’s Silicon Valley SV5 data center.
